Situated on Shoreditch’s iconic Hoxton Square, the Village Hall is an independent community hub for the growing local tech, digital and creative ecosystem. With windows out onto the Square, the venue is filled with light and a great space for mingling and meeting. The added bonus is the onsite craft coffee shop providing delicious coffee throughout the event.
The venue is in the heart of East London, and easily accessible by public transport. We don’t recommend driving to BIRDIE - there’s no parking at the venue and most of the spots in the surrounding area are reserved for permit holders.
Tube: The Village Hall is almost exactly halfway between Old Street station (Northern Line) and Hoxton Station (London Overground). It’s roughly a 10 minute walk from either station.
Train: Alternatively, you can get a train to either Old Street (from Moorgate, Welwyn Garden City etc.) or Hoxton (from Highbury & Islington, Clapham Junction and more) and walk 10 minutes to the venue.
Bus: Lots of buses go very close to the venue, including numbers 47, 55, 135, 205 and 243.
Bike: If you’d like to cycle, there are railings in Hoxton Square to lock up bikes and more outside the Electricity Showrooms, and at the corner of Hoxton Street and Old Street.
